The city of New York is a very vibrant and eclectic place. There are many places in the city of New York that attracts a large number of tourists each and every year around. Some of these are described in the article.

The Statue of Liberty: For many immigrants who flew from Europe to America, the Statue of Liberty was the first image or symbol of recognition of America. This statue was a gift given to America by the French government for the completion of years of Independence. The crown worn by the lady Liberty is found to have seven spikes which symbolize the seven great seas across which liberty is to be spread. This is very famous among the New York attractions.

The Empire State Building: The Empire State Building is the symbol of the great human ambition to reach the sky limits. This is one of the best known buildings in the whole of New York city. The image of this building can be seen in most of the postcards related to US.

The Brooklyn Bridge: This Bridge was a great construction which happened during the period between 1869 and 1883. This bridge is the one which connects Manhattan with the Brooklyn which is the most populous borough of New York. Brooklyn was the largest known city of the country during the times. This is one of the best known landmarks of the New York City.

The Central Park: Central park belongs to the group of those places which makes New York one of the best places to live in the world. This is a very huge park that covers up an area of 843 large acres. This is located in the center of the Manhattan region. The design of this park is an example for the city parks all around the world.

The Times Square: Almost all the New York City tours include the Times Square in their tours. This is one of the most bustling squares in the New York City. This square is very much famous for the Broadway theatres, super signs and the cinemas it holds. This can also be considered as one of the places which name the New York City as the city that never sleeps.

The Chrysler Building: The race for the tallest building in the whole world began in the starting of the 20th century. The Chrysler Building was then the first building to get to the top position among the tallest structures. Till the year 1974 this was the tallest building in the world.

The Rockefeller Center: The Radio City in New York is also known by the name Rockefeller Center. This is actually a complex comprising of 14 buildings among which the RCA building is the tallest. This complex was developed in the midst of the Great Depression.

The World Trade Center: The World Trade Center was actually a complex of seven great buildings among which the Twin Towers were the most famous. This belongs to the Lower Manhattan region. This building was prone to a terrorist attack on September 1, 2001.
